Training and events for board members
Good governance is a sound investment in quality sport and recreation service provision for the benefit of the Western Australian community.
A board of directors is comprised of directors and committees of management who jointly oversee the governance of the organisation. Within sports clubs and associations, structures that promote and maintain sound governance are critical.
The department is providing current and aspiring board members of State Sporting Associations and Industry Representative Organisations the opportunity to participate in the 2019 Board Governance Program. The workshops will provide participants with the opportunity to gain a better understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a board member.
The workshops are designed to suit people with a variety of experience, so please consider the best fit for your current or future role.
With each course, 100% attendance is required at each of the designated workshops. All workshops will be delivered at DLGSC at 246 Vincent Street Leederville.
