WA Youth Awards now open

The WA Youth Awards were established in 1999 and recognise outstanding young Western Australians aged 12 to 25 years, and we want young people involved in sport and recreation to apply!

Entries are now open and close on Friday 5 March 2010. Finalists will be announced during National Youth Week in April.

The WA Youth Awards demonstrate the hard work and dedication of young people to the wider community.

We at the Department of Sport and Recreation know there are many young people involved in sport and recreation clubs out there who would be worthy recipients. Just by filling a role that helps people to participate in sport and recreation, you are helping to make people healthier and happier and your community a stronger and safer place to live! So why not nominate now?

If this sounds like someone you know, then we encourage you to nominate them as an outstanding young person, youth worker, or as part of a youth-led group.
