Sportsfun Coordinator
The Department of Sport and Recreation (DSR) is the government agency providing leadership in the sport and recreation industry in Western Australia. The vision for junior sport in Australia is to provide safe and enjoyable environments to encourage the long-term participation of young people in sporting activities.
This vision is based on the belief that, when presented and organised properly, sport:
- Makes a significant contribution to the physical, psychological and social wellbeing of young people; and
- Is an effective way of producing benefits for both the individual and Australian society (Junior Sports Framework, Australian Sports Commission)
Junior sport is a vital part of our unique lifestyle and the Department of Sport and Recreation is strongly committed to Sportsfun and the vision for junior sport in Western Australia. It oversees, coordinates and supports the program.
