It was a special event with Tammin’s football greats, past and present, turning out to mark the anniversary.

A panel of well-known Tammin identities presented anecdotes and memories starting from the early years through to recent times, including the amalgamation with Kellerberrin.

In the lead up to Saturday’s celebrations the committee displayed press clippings, photos and other memorabilia which showcases the early days of the football club. This included plaques and posters which showed the starting lineup of the 1970 Premiership as well as the ‘Fairest and Best’ plaque dated from 1961.

“A highlight of the event was the naming of the local and recruited teams of the century, and with household names like Dale and Derek Kickett alongside local legends in the line-up they would’ve been two pretty handy teams!” said Ms Davies

It was a great opportunity for people to reconnect with old friends and family.
