Ern Halliday and Woodman Point hosted three camps and a day program during the break.

Two and three day Surfs Up camps were held at Ern Halliday, attended by 48 very energetic and enthusiastic young people who enjoyed the thrill of surfing and learning how to ride a wave. Tuition and expertise were provided by Surfing WA instructors.

Activities such as flying fox, archery, quiz night, beach games, coastal bike tour, indoor climb and nature play activities are just some of the programs students were able to challenge themselves in.

Woodman Point’s Hawaiian Luau saw 17 delightful young people treated to two days of fun surrounded by leis, pineapples and coconuts. Programs included flying fox, search and rescue, raft making, surf life saving and beach team games. Participants were treated to a visit from the Department of Fisheries, giving them the opportunity to examine marine life. Staff and participants all came away from this session with an improved knowledge and respect for our marine life.
