Sport and recreation facility small grants open

Applications are now open for the February 2010/11 funding round of the Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund (CSRFF) Small Grants.

Oval facility.The Hon Terry Waldron MLA, Minister for Sport and Recreation, invites applications from not-for-profit sport, recreation or community groups and local government authorities seeking capital works grants to develop sport and recreation facilities with a total project cost of up to $150,000.  These grants are made available by the Western Australian Government.

Applicants must discuss their application with the Department of Sport and Recreation (DSR).  Guidelines on eligibility and application forms are available from metropolitan local government authorities, or if in regional areas, DSR regional offices.

Applications for small grants generally close with the relevant local government authority at 4pm on Friday 26 February 2010. Many local government authorities will close the application period sooner to accommodate council meeting schedules, so applicants must check for any variations to this date.
