Smarter than Smoking Country Sport Scholarships
The Smarter than Smoking Country Sport Scholarship program is a joint initiative between the Department of Sport and Recreation (DSR) and Healthway to support talented regional athletes in their pursuit of state and national representation.
The scholarships provide opportunities for regional-based athletes to access training, competitions, development camps, coaches and facilities to improve their performance and assist them to represent Western Australia, and ultimately Australia.
Offered by DSR and proudly sponsored by Healthway, promoting the Heart Foundation’s Smarter than Smoking message, this scholarship scheme has been provided for talented regional athletes since 1995.
Applications are now open and will close on Friday 29 July 2011.
The application process has changed this year; State Sporting Associations (SSAs) will now apply on behalf of all athletes. For further information please contact your relevant SSA.
