Premier's Australia Day Active Citizenship Awards
The Premier's Australia Day Active Citizenship Awards are a great opportunity to recognise someone you know who works tirelessly, often behind the scenes with little recognition, for their time and efforts.
26 September 2011
Submit your nomination to the CEO of your local council by 25 November 2011.
There are three categories:
- Premier’s Australia Day Active Citizenship Award.
- Premier’s Australia Day Active Citizenship Award for a person under 25 years
- Premier’s Australia Day Active Citizenship Award for a community group or event.
The winner for each category is selected against the following selection criteria:
- Active Citizenship.
- Demonstrated leadership on a community issue resulting in the enhancement of community life.
- A significant initiative which has brought about positive change and added value to community life.
- Inspiring qualities as a role model for the community.
Each nominee is recognised on the day and receives an achievement certificate, so even if they are not selected as the winner, they are still publicly acknowledged in front of everyone at the City of Albany Australia Day Celebrations for their work in the community.
Forms are available online at www.ausdaywa.com.au or from your local council office.
