Point Walter Recreation and Conference Centre is the ideal location for schools, community organisations and corporate/business groups to hold conferences, seminars, meetings, or workshops. Dining facilities are available for day event bookings.
With adventure activities including a flying fox, leap of faith, 10m abseiling tower, low ropes, pool activities, surf ski paddling, raft building and archery. The Point Walter Recreation and Conference Centre allows people to test themselves, learn new skills, gain confidence and bond with their peers.
Set on the Swan River, Point Walter boasts magnificent views of the foreshore and the city skyline with the accommodation nestled around the pool and hub of meeting and dining rooms.
Point Walter’s location in Bicton, just 20 minutes from the city, makes it a comfortable journey for metropolitan based schools and a great base for regional based schools.

Graham Russell Conference Centre
The Graham Russell Conference Room is named after a long serving former Manager of DSR Camps at the Department of Sport and Recreation.
Graham was instrumental in establishing the camps chain in the 70's and the upgrades to Pt Walter Centre in 1980's.
Point Walter can cater for your conference and meeting requirements in our modern and comfortable air-conditioned conference room. The facility consists of a main conference area to seat 60 people theatre style or 30 people at tables.
The conference room facilities are fully air conditioned and includes fans, a water cooler dispenser, chairs, tables, whiteboards, overhead projectors, large screen TV/DVD/VCR units, and a small portable PA system.
The centre also holds two smaller seminar rooms to seat 20 and 10 people theatre style adjoin the main conference room and are ideal as small break out or meeting rooms. Seminar Room 1 (10) has a small meeting table and chairs. Seminar Room 2 (20) has a small table, TV/DVD and lounge chairs. Seminar rooms can be booked separately, please call the camp for more details.
A small kitchenette is located between the two seminar rooms and is available to cater for small groups (10) for tea and coffee (BYO). Full self-catering is not permitted at this venue, and Accolade Catering can be contacted to provide a variety of morning and afternoon tea options in the dining rooms. Kitchenette facilities include a sink, hot water urn and fridge.
The Graham Russell Conference Centre is allocated to groups upon request and priority is given to the larger Aviary group. However, it can be booked on request. There is no additional charge to use these facilities for residential groups, however, exclusivity is not guaranteed and must be arranged in advance.
The rooms can also be booked as a day use facility and access to either Cygnet Dining Room or Pelican Function Room is provided for your catering needs.
Cygnet Dining Room
The Cygnet Dining Room can also be booked as a day facility meeting room subject to availability. This room is the largest dining and meeting facility at the camp and can cater for 200 people seated theatre style or can seat 120 people at tables. Catered meals are available at this venue from the servery, and guests have access to a standard-sized fridge. There is also a boiling-water dispenser for tea/ coffee and a water cooler dispenser.
The dining room has a two split system air conditioners, ceiling fans, a wall-mounted whiteboard at one end of the room. A TV with VCR/DVD player is available. Self-catering is not permitted.
Pelican Function Room
The Pelican Function Room can also be booked as a day facility meeting room subject to availability. With the most spectacular views of the Swan River and Perth, this space can cater for 160 people seated theatre style or can seat 100 people at tables. Catered meals are available at this venue served from a mobile bain marie, and guests have access to a standard-sized fridge. There is also a hot water urn for tea/ coffee and a water cooler and dispenser.
The dining room has a two split system air conditioners, ceiling fans, a wall-mounted whiteboard at one end of the room. A TV with VCR/DVD player is available. Self-catering is not permitted.
