Inaugural networking event for the combat sports industry participants of Western Australia.

A special day that will provide sport and recreation information and opportunities to senior Aboriginal people in the community.

A workshop for all organisations involved with the Green Shirt Program, and those wishing to become involved. The Green Shirt Program aims to reduce the incidence of abuse and harassment directed towards inexperienced officials, and as a result improve retention rates at the grass roots level of sport.

The Department of Sport and Recreation and Outdoors WA will be conducting the first of a series of Adventure Activity Standards (AAS) information forums in December 2009.

An event held in partnership with Wheelchair Sports incorporating the Toyota Paralympic Talent Search program, with special guest Paralympian Justin Eveson. Sports will include wheelchair sports (basketball, rugby, tennis), plus handcycling, athletics, boccia and table tennis.

As with the first workshop, this is a must for trainers and participants who have to deal with taping and strapping of injuries or, in particular, hands for training purposes. A great refresher that just might provide you with a few insights into current trends and practices.

The inaugural Coaches Awards Dinner will be held in May 2010 at the Duxton Hotel in Perth. The awards dinner will provide State Sporting Associations with the opportunity to acknowledge the contribution of their "Coach of the Year" and present other coaches with commendation certificates for their contribution to the sport in the area of coaching.
