The focus will be on improving the level of artistic skating in Western Australia.

The seminar is supported by the Bunbury Rollerskating Club Artistic Branch, The Rink, WA Skills Training and the WA Artistic Committee.

The Department of Sport and Recreation (DSR) recently provided $4000 to the Bunbury Rollerskating Club through the Sports Lotteries Account under the Active Regional Communities Organisation Assistance Program to develop Artistic and Speed Rollerskating in the South West.

The organiser of the visit and the workshops is Susan Brooks, an internationally accredited Artistic Judge who in the past has received officiating scholarships from DSR.

Several of the students at the rink have also received Smarter than Smoking Country Sport Scholarships for artistic rollerskating. With Susan as their main coach, they have represented Australia at many international meetings including World Championships.
