Regional funding

The Department provides a range of services to regional WA including a number of funding opportunities to ensure sport and recreation is as accessible and vibrant in the regions as it is in the metropolitan area.

Regional Grants Scheme

The Regional Grants Scheme aims to support the provision of sport and active recreation activities in regional WA. It is tailored to meet the ever-changing demands and challenges of regional sport and active-recreation groups within the nine diverse regions of Western Australia.

The Regional Grants Scheme comprises of three funding programs managed by the Department's regional offices. These are outlined below.

Funding is also provided to local governments to provide support to regional community clubs through the Club Development Officer Scheme.
