Peel in training to be more inclusive
As part of its endeavours to make sport and recreation accessible to all Western Australians the Department of Sport and Recreation (DSR) will hold disability awareness and inclusion training in Meadow Springs on Tuesday 11 October.
05 September 2011
This free event will cover disability awareness, inclusion theory, building inclusive programs, inclusive activities, customer service tips and direct participants to resources for further learning.
“Sport and recreation makes an important contribution to the health and wellbeing of all of us, including people with disabilities,” said DSR Peel Manager Cary Green.
“We all potentially have an important role to play in opening up opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in all areas of community life.
“I urge anyone interested to register soon as places are limited – it’s free and can really make a difference to the lives of people with disabilities in our region.”
