Playing field

The field of play is a rectangle 100m long and 37m wide. The perimeter is the perimeter line and consists of two sidelines along the length and two endlines along the width. All lines are 75mm and 120mm wide and marked with a non-caustic material.

The field of play is broken up into a centre playing field proper that is 64m long and 37m wide and two end zones that are 18m deep by 37m wide at each end. The goal lines separate the playing field proper from the end zones and are part of the playing field proper.

The brick mark is the intersection of two crossed 1m lines in the playing field proper set 20m from each goal line, mid-way between the sidelines. Eight brightly-coloured, flexible objects (such as plastic cones) mark the corners of the playing field proper and the end zones.
