Flood-affected clubs
Nine Gascoyne sport and recreation clubs were directly affected by floods in Carnarvon and Upper Gascoyne in December 2010 and late February 2011.

In some cases, the damage to facilities has prevented the clubs from offering their sport in the early part of 2011 and possibly for the remainder of the year.
Sport and Recreation Minister Terry Waldron visited the region in January to inspect the damage and provide information to the clubs on potential avenues for funding assistance.
Continuing on from the visit, the DSR Gascoyne office team is meeting with clubs to determine how it can assist them to get up and running again.
