Facility funding wishes granted
Sport and Recreation Minister Terry Waldron has announced $823,662 in small grants under the Community Sport and Recreation Facilities Fund (CSRFF).
21 June 2011
The funds will provide a boost to sporting facilities across the State and are sure to kick goals in our communities.
“These facilities grants are just one part of what the State Government is doing to re-energise communities,” Mr Waldron said.
“This contribution will get our sporting communities working better. The grants will assist clubs to provide the context for sport and recreation and support a range of other initiatives to get more young people participating.”

“Through these funds, we can expect to see more vibrant community sport and recreation clubs and more kids reaping the benefits of being physically active,” the Minister said.
“The small grants complement the main CSRFF grants and are designed especially for those cases where grass roots sport and recreation clubs need that little bit of financial assistance, often to make a big difference to their community’s participation in and enjoyment of sport.
“It’s easy to apply, and the whole community is the winner because sport and recreation makes it a stronger, healthier, happier and safer place to live.”

next round of small grants (for projects under $150,000) opens in July
