The Point Walter Recreation and Conference Centre is a modern facility set on six hectares of Swan River escarpment at Bicton, near Fremantle.
The centre is the perfect venue for weddings, conferences, workshops, professional development days, dinners, presentations, birthday parties and anniversaries.

Important information
Before booking your wedding, conference or funtion at Point Walter Centre please read the following guidelines and useful information.
Site visit
We highly recommend that you arrange a site visit (Monday–Friday) prior to making your booking to ensure our facilities meet your group’s requirements. Please contact the Point Walter Centre to arrange a suitable time and day.
Emergency evacuation
Evacuation procedure maps are located on the back of doors in conference and function room spaces. Please ensure your conference convenor or group leader is familiar with these procedures.
Loss or damage
As the hirer of the room, you will be held responsible and liable for any damages to, or loss of, equipment caused by yourself or users of the room. This includes, but is not limited to, audiovisual equipment, furniture, fittings and floor coverings. You will not be held responsible for mechanical breakdown of equipment unless directly caused by misuse.
Parking
Free Parking is available in the Day area, Osprey and Aviary parking areas. No parking is allowed on the lawn. Please down load the attached directions and parking document to forward to your guests.
Please notify Centre staff if your guests plan to arrive in individual cars so that arrangements can be made to allow easy access via our security cable gate.
Temporary parking is available for unloading resources and equipment (by arrangement).
Payment
To secure your booking you will need to pay a 50% deposit. You will receive an invoice following your function for the final amount owing.
Office hours
The Point Walter Centre Office is staffed from 7.30am–4.30pm Monday to Friday. Group leaders contact details are written on a white board outside the office along with their contact details to gain access to the cable gate code (where required) outside of these times.
Room setup
Guests are required to set up the function and conference rooms according to their needs. Groups are also required to pack up the room following their conference/function including emptying bins, stacking chairs and placing tables on trolleys.
Note: Access to rooms will be from 8:00 am for day events/conferences or 5pm for evening events unless an early arrival fee is pre arranged with the centre.
