Go along and show your support!

The ERC Lions is an Australian Rules football team of newly arrived young people formed in March 2010.

The team features three AFL World Team players, is coached and captained by the Sports Team of the Edmund Rice Centre Mirrabooka Youth Leadership Group and supported by the likes of the WA Football Commission, the Department of Sport and Recreation, City of Stirling and the Office of Multicultural Interests.

The team is looking to build a supporter base to provide a huge home ground atmosphere for all its matches.

Members of the team have been busy not only training, but also serving their community as role models and coaching AFL clinics for younger people in the community. Improving the leadership qualities of these wonderful young people is also a focus of the ERC through football training and a leadership development program.

It is hoped the players will inspire other young people who come to Australia, to play football, act as positive role models and serve their community through sport.

The Lions train behind Herb Graham Recreation Centre, Chesterfield Road, Mirrabooka on Wednesdays and Fridays at 4.30pm.
