The course has been designed, ridden, timed and marked by experienced mountain bike riders from the Perth Mountain Bike Club and is designed to give the rider the best mountain bike riding the Peel region has to offer.

The event starts and finishes from the same location, the Dwellingup Football Oval. Three distances provide the opportunity for riders of all ages, fitness and levels to enjoy riding in the event: 100km Dwellingup Classic, 40km La Grande and the 1km D14 Novice events.

The event is now in its second year. Attendance expectations were exceeded last year when over 600 riders arrived in town, making the 100 MTB Classic the biggest mountain bike event in WA, surpassing Cape to Cape (approximately 250 riders) and the Karri Cup (approximately 370 riders).
