Do you know the next Mike Stidwell medallist?

Nominations are being called for this year’s Mike Stidwell Medal. This medal seeks to recognise a person who has performed an outstanding contribution to the administration of their respective sporting club or organisation.

Mike Stidwell.“Mike Stidwell, who the medal was struck in honour of, is remembered for his selfless and long-term contribution to sport and recreation administration in Albany,” said Department of Sport and Recreation (DSR) Manager Great Southern Chris Thompson.

“Recognising those people who help to make Great Southern sport and recreation vibrant and great so that it can be enjoyed by us all is so important, and I would encourage anyone who knows someone worthy of this honour to make sure they are nominated and in the running for this year’s medal.”

The recipient will be presented with their medal at the annual Albany Sportsperson of the Year awards 2010.
