Email: Each afternoon of 11 and 18 February, teams will compete in a series of heats to get their craft first across the finish line of a 200 metre course, with 25 February being the finals series.
Time – from 3pm
Team Criteria – Each Dragon Boat will race with 10 paddlers, male or female, over the age of 12, along with a drummer who sits at the bow and beats the stroke rate (can be provided by DDBC) and one experienced sweep/steer person (provided by DDBC).
If you can’t locate 10 people, let the DDBC know and they may be able to match you with other individuals needing a place.
Please wear shoes and be sun smart, DDBC encourages the use of sunscreen, hats and sunglasses.
In the case of weather being deemed unsafe for the paddlers, organisers reserve the right to cancel the event.
