Court layout

The standard court is a rectangle measuring 32m long and 25.6m wide. The boundaries are marked clearly, the inner edge of the definitive border being the actual boundary. The corners are depicted by Roman numerals ─ I, II, III, and IV ─ and the boundaries as south, west, north and east, regardless of the actual orientation of the court.Croquet court

Hoops

The hoops are 305mm above the ground measured to the top of the hoop.

Pegs

The pegs are 38mm in diameter and extend 457mm above the ground measured to the top of the peg.

The standard setting

The peg is set in the centre of the court. There are six hoops set parallel to the north and south boundaries, the centres of the two inner hoops are 6.4m to the north and south of the peg and the centres of the four outer hoops are 6.4m from the adjacent boundaries. The path along which your ball has to travel starts with hoop 1 (the blue-topped one) and has to follow the set order through to hoop 6, and then hit the centre peg. The dotted line and arrows on the diagram show the direction each ball must go to score each hoop.
