Coaching problems solved at free seminar in Margaret River

Sometimes getting the best out of athletes can be a challenge for coaches. Often it’s those little issues within the group that can be hardest to solve. Others could simply benefit from some tips to polish up their training sessions.

Ian Crawford.Whichever is the case, then a FREE seminar to be held in Margaret River in April by the Department of Sport and Recreation is the answer.

The You have coaching problems … we have the solutions seminar will be presented by Candor Training and Consultancy owner Ian Crawford, who has more than 20 years of national and international coaching experience.

Participants are invited to raise the issues or areas they want to improve and will leave the session with proven strategies to address them.

“This is a unique seminar and we are delighted to offer it to coaches of the South West region,” said DSR Manager South West Troy Jones.

“Developing our coaches is not only vital for their enjoyment of, and continuation in, their role, but it’s equally as important for athletes’ enjoyment and success in sport. When we provide coaches with opportunities like this seminar the whole community is a winner.”

About the presenter

Formerly a Physical Education teacher, Ian Crawford has taught and coached around the world in sports ranging from abseiling to shooting.

After stints with mountain rescue in Wales and as a personal trainer in London, Ian returned to Perth to work as a Junior Sport Consultant and an Organisational Consultant with the Ministry of Sport and Recreation. He has been a presenter with Sport Medicine Australia and WA Coaching Foundation, worked as the Coaching Consultant with the Department of Sport and Recreation for nine years and was previously an Event Manager with the World Triathlon Championship.

Ian is now the owner and principle trainer of Candor Training and Consultancy. He is a sought-after around the world for his unique, inspiring and challenging style of delivery that moves participants to achieve more success than they ever thought possible.

The same workshop was recently held in Bunbury.
