This new facility consolidates three existing buildings, Canning Aquatic Centre, Queens Park Recreation Centre and Queens Park Library, which have reached the end of their lifecycle.
Cannington Leisureplex was opened in September 2012.
The new facility includes:
- 25m ten lane indoor heated pool and associatedfacilities
- Learn to swim pool
- Toddlers pool
- Water slide facility
- Steam room, sauna and spa
- Water playground
- Two indoor multipurpose courts and associatedfacilities
- Gymnasium
- Community meeting rooms
- Library
- Café
- Crèche
- Car parking and landscaping for 300 vehicles
