Bush plus beach equals school holiday adventure
Woodman Point Recreation Camp's April school holiday program had a Bush to Beach theme that proved popular with the kids.
30 April 2012
The three day, two night camp on 18-20 April was booked to capacity, with 22 children attending.
Accommodated in tents, the children cooked on the first night using trangia stoves, roasted marshmallows and cooked damper around a campfire.
Other highlights included a beach exploration activity conducted by the Department of Fisheries and Australian native animals taken along by Kanyana Wildlife Park for the campers to touch and learn about.
