Bernadette’s record run

Ultra runner and psychologist Bernadette Benson recently crossed the finish line of the Bibbulmun Track with a record time of 15 days, nine hours and 48 minutes.

A determined woman, Bernadette pushed through the 970 km track despite developing compartment syndrome early on. As a result she was unable to load bear on her left leg and limped her way through sections of the track and over the finish line.
