Project background
The township of Dandaragan is 107 km north-east of Perth. The bowling club is located directly adjacent to the Dandaragan Sporting Club which is accessed by all recreation and sporting groups within the Dandaragan community. In 2004 the Dandaragan Bowling Club installed and fully funded a synthetic playing surface to reduce ongoing maintenance costs. The existing grass green was being maintained by volunteers from the bowling community. The long term strategy of the club was to provide a broader range of options for sporting, recreational and social interaction within the community.
