Thanks to the YMCA’s Streetwise Workshops being held around the State, young people are getting professional skating tuition.
Bassendean local, Matt Brazier, is busy showing the state his skateboarding talents aren’t just for show. Matt, aged 19, has competed in two rounds of the YMCA HQ’s Summer Skate Series and has placed in the top two in the Open Division at both competitions. His talents in the Series have won him prizes from Folklore Skateboards and Bossen.
YMCA HQ with support from the Department of Sport and Recreation (DSR) are rolling out more opportunities for skateboarding enthusiasts of all ages and abilities.
