The workplace is an important part of the lives of many Western Australians. On average, employees spend about one-third of their waking hours at work.
Over time the working environment has changed. Today’s work environment is contributing to inactive lifestyles, stress and alarmingly high rates of preventable disease.
In 2005 the Department of Sport and Recreation commissioned The University of Western Australia to conduct a review of Workplace Health and Physical Activity (WHPA) programs in Western Australia.
