New face for cricket at Mid West Sportshouse

The Department of Sport and Recreation's (DSR) Mid West office welcomes Simon Barras to the Mid West Sportshouse as the new Regional Development Officer (RDO) for cricket.

Simon Barras Simon replaces Rob Wass, who has succumbed to the bright lights of Perth.

Rob has done a great job of putting Mid West and Gascoyne cricket on the map over the past 12 months and we wish him all the best for his future endeavours.

Please make Simon welcome, we know he is looking forward to continuing the good work and growing the game further in the Mid West and Gascoyne regions.

Within the Mid West Sportshouse, sports such as football (AFL and soccer), netball, hockey, tennis and cricket house their Development Officers who play an important role in developing the sports within their respective regions. Also within the Sportshouse are Active After-school program, ATLAS (Access to Leisure and Sport for People with Disabilities), Mid West Sports Federation and the Geraldton Sporting Aboriginal Corporation.
