The Indigenous Sports Program works with State Sporting Associations to play a more active role in increasing participation and skill development in the Indigenous community.

Partnerships with the State Sporting Associations aim to encourage Indigenous people to try new sports and then go on to join local sporting associations/clubs, the end result being to identify talent within these sports and develop pathways for the participants to engage the sport at the elite level.
