Applications for the 2009 LotteryWest Trails Grants Program are now open.

Walking, riding or paddling trails connect people with places and provide a wonderful way to discover the amazing Mid West landscape and explore our heritage.
The Mid West is beginning to develop a trails network however there are many fascinating and beautiful locations ready to explore.
Whether walking, helping maintain a trail, camping out or visiting attractions along the way, the power of spending time on a trail surrounded by the great outdoors makes it a habit hard to break.
The LotteryWest Trails Grant Program funds projects up to a maximum of $100,000 for trail construction, upgrade of existing trails (not trail maintenance), trail promotion and marketing and trail planning (feasibility, consultant work).
Not-for-profit, community organisations including local government authorities are all eligible to apply.
Applications close 5pm Friday 20 March 2009.
