The South West played host to some of the best hockey players in the world recently when the Australian men's team, the Kookaburras, played Netherlands in Bunbury and Busselton.

The visit was part of a four-game series, with the last of the matches played in Perth.
As part of the visit, the communities were not only treated to two high-level matches, but also had the opportunity to attend various clinics and seminars, including a breakfast function where Australian men's coach Ric Charlesworth was guest speaker.
DSR provided funds for the event through its Country Sport Enrichment Scheme, which aims to bring top-line sport to regional WA.
The Netherlands victory in Busselton raised the tempo for the next day match in Bunbury, with the Kookaburras reversing the result and thrilling the crowd with their amazing speed and skill.
"The opportunity for the general public to witness this level of competition in their very own backyard is amazing and the spin off will be inevitable," said DSR South West Manager Troy Jones.
"Seeing kids talking to players like Eddie Ockenden and Jamie Dwyer, it's just something that will long live in their memories."
