This nationally-recognised course
will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge to guide bushwalking
and either kayaking or abseiling activities.
You'll learn how to plan, conduct and evaluate outdoor recreation activities, resources and programs, respond to emergencies and guide and lead groups. You will also learn skills in applying legal requirements, ethics, health and safety strategies, and risk management related to outdoor recreation.
This qualification will be delivered by Outdoors WA an incorporated body officially recognised as the "Peak Industry Body" for outdoor adventure activities in WA, and will take 12 months to complete.
A large part of your learning will involve developing these skills on practical trips and camps.
